Arguably one of the better Air Jordan releases in sometime, the VI sees a new colorway, appropriately dubbed the “Oreo.” The kicks take on a mostly white base with clear outsole detailing, black nubuck paneling, and splatter accents. A release is set for Saturday, March 20th via Jordan retail accounts, including Rugged Sole.

Pointer Footwear offers us a look into its new colorways of the Debaser model, named in tribute to the 1989 Pixies song “Debaser” from the album Doolittle. adidas Originals release the Nizza High under a familiar theme this season with their “Zip’ pack. If the Tanker colorway of the Porter Five-Two 3 collection was a bit understated for your tastes, new in-line colors inject some color into the one-time basketball sneaker. The Nizza is an iconic archive piece that has superseded its original purpose as a lightweight basketball shoe to become a staple item in the adidas catalogue and, thanks to its clean upper – essentially a blank canvas – a favourite of collaborators seasonally.

Last season saw a pairing between the dons of contemporary Japanese luggage, Porter and the humble Nizza as part of the Five-Two 3 ‘Brands Pack’ that introduced the unique concept of a zip at the rear of the hi-top for quick, unfettered access, albeit in extremely limited numbers.

Following on from this success, the zip-up Nizza returns in 4 colourways and a wider distribution to appease those who didn’t manage to cop the Five-Two 3 iteration first time round.

Featuring a durable, synthetic upper with solid, single colour blocking and matching 3-Stripes, the clean feel of the silhouette is furthered through the vulcanised midsole and foxing that matches the colourway to the upper.The YKK zipper at the back is the star attraction of the shoe and is integrated subtly enough that the silhouette doesn’t lose any appeal, while adding unquestionable functionality.

Available in Black, Navy, Red and Olive from selected adidas Originals retailers.

A new theme seen over this release is the concept of “Life and Earth” as the brand incorporates eco-friendly construction and materials. The outsole itself is constructed of recycled bottles. The running model seen here takes a more fashionable approach incorporating a polka-dot upper with pink highlights.

SeaVees and Gitman Bros. team-up to offer an interesting contrasted offering on the 09/63 plimsoll sneaker. The sneaker features a two-tone design which combines suede and an interpretation of “bleeding madras”, a non-colorfasted fabric which creates an interesting faded and bleeding aesthetic through each wash. However as mentioned it’s simply an homage to old 1960s notions of bleeding madras as it as been pre-faded for wearability. The collection is available now at SeaVees.

Our best-selling 09/63 Plimsoll is the base for our limited edition Bleeding Madras style. Bleeding madras is a hand-spun, yarn dyed woven from India, made popular in the 1960s (most notably in S.E. Hinton’s book The Outsiders). Dyes that were not colorfast were used, resulting in bleeding and fading colors that gave the fabric a new, personalized look each time it was laundered. Especially popular in California at the time, shirts were marketed as “guaranteed to fade.” We selected our two plaid patterns from the 1960s archives of our supplier.

Genuine, durable 40/40s Indian madras is combined with superior sueded leather on our 09/63 Bleeding Madras Plimsoll. Laces are oil stuffed rawhide leather. Flat eyelets are brushed silver. Comfort footbed is leather lined. Collars and heel counters are lined with sueded leather to secure fit. Our signature herringbone outsole design offers maximum slip resistance. SeaVees teamed with Gitman Brothers Vintage to replicate the magical look of original bleeding madras. (Note: We pre-faded our fabric to make it appropriate for footwear use, so you will not experience unwanted color transfer onto skin and clothing).
